Most big city marathon advertising is focused on when the marathon is.
We pointed the spotlight on why the marathon is, and reminded both runners and those aspiring to be one that the Twin Cities Marathon celebrates all the whys there are for being a runner and is the perfect venue to discover which why is yours.

Thumb Marathon
To make signing up for the Twin Cities Marathon less daunting, we created a marathon anyone could run — from their couch. We held the world’s first Thumb Marathon. Using real sound from past races and well-known landmarks from along the course, we recreated the full marathon experience — without the soreness (in your legs, at least). People could tap their way to 26.2 on their couch, one frame — or mile — at a time.
Marathon Sounds Vol. 1 Virtual Album
A brand book was created for the in-house design team at Twin Cities in Motion which included: headline options, color combinations, layout direction, photography direction and executional considerations to have the campaign in as many places as possible. All while maintaining the tone and look we established.
